Was degreasing a 1944 Long Branch, noticed barrel has "F55" stamping and poorly struck proof mark which is not Canadian. Any ideas? Thx.

Been collecting military badges since the early 70`s and other militaria more recently, but having read the information given to other members I have realised you`re never too old to learn.
