I don't think it has anything to do with protectionism. "Stupidity"; well, that's another story!
Brian, believe me........ The US doesn't even start to understand stupidity like we know stupidity here. Have you ever heard of the EU? It's a byeword for REAL stupidity and we pay into it £54 MILLION a DAY!

Yes, I've done many imports from South Africa.
Looks like Criterion is getting close with the No. 4 barrels. There is an update here Lee Enfield No.4 Progress Update.
