If you would, measure inside to inside on the front chisel marks - that is, determine the minimum distance between left and right "disturbances" to base metal.
If it's too small or way too big for a flip sight, that's one thing. If it's about right, the question kinda answers itself.
I don't have flip sight dimensioned drawings, but I do have a flip by another maker to measure. So, do a blind taste test, report the findings, and if nobody else has an IBM appropriate flip to measure, I'll whip out the calipers.
