42 Rocker, yes it's running really well.
It was stored during winter; Just needed a general grease up and check over. Took it out last Sunday for a spin into town.
I only had to replace the iginition switch recently; due to a corroded connection that was starting to fail as the resistance builds up with heat.
All parts are available in France. ( mostly imported from the USA).
Nice looking Jeep. That's a post WWII motor as evidenced by the reinforcing ribs between the head bolts and I couldn't tell from the pics, are those combat rims?
Another good site for information. Owner is a friend of mine. Good Man! If you look at some of his videos you might see my Wife's Weasel and my Jeep and an Airborne trailer in the background. Got the Weasel and Jeep from him. Trailer from a friend of his. Click on Knowledge to go to website.
Knowledge is Power
My Wife and I have his and Her's jeeps. I'm still rebuilding mine, 1944. Her's is a 1948 Willeys Overland CJ2A that was one of the 400 that was sold to the Switzerland Military and came back to America. Someday I'll do a brief thread on it. We normally try to take "The Swiss Miss" out for about an hour drive ever week or two.
Keep it 6 volt. My Thoughts. Only if you know how of maintain motors, LOL. I saw the pic of your day job that you posted. You can do it, I'm sure. Also pushing it at 50 MPH. Fun fact our speedometer gauge is in KPH, not MPH.
Enjoy the old days stuff. Enjoy the ride.

It has Combat rims. It's working well on 6volt, after rectifying the earth braids and connections.
Somehow, I missed the pics on page 4, those sure are combat rims.
As tomorrow is our 4th of July, I think I'll take our Swiss Miss jeep out for a ride.
Enjoy your nice jeep, with the combat rims.

A 1948 Willys Overland that was 1 of 400 sold to the Swiss Military. More in another thread.
