Hi All,
At the moment I've a passing interest in milsurps. But if joining this forum is any indicator, it's a growing interest.

Hi from Sitka, Alaska. I'm a newbie, and just wanted to introduce myself. Looking forward to learning and exchanging information.
Hi, I am a new member, from the US. I collect Savage Enfields.
Hello all.
I'm an ex pat Kiwi, now living in the USA.
Ex New Zealand Army (Infantry), currently serving in the US Army as a Combat Medic in Afganistan.
Ive been collecting militaria since I was a kid.
I've just purchased a NO.4 MK I (T) Savage ("U.S. PROPERTY" marked) with a mismatched Long Branch Bolt and mismatched magazine without a scope or mount but has the original pads. It is also missing the cheekrest.
I purchased it online so there was a little faith involved there, I hope I won't be disappointed.
I will be getting a cheekrest (if I can find one) and probably just use a repro scope due to cost, but one never knows.
Ive read a little on here over the last few days and have been quite impressed with the depth of knowledge here.
I'm sure I will learn a lot.
Great site, I'm glad to be here!

Hello everyone,
I'm Louie and this is my first post to a message board. A bit new to all of this so please be kind as I learn the do's and dont's...looking forward to chatting with this memberhip...
Hello,
I am new to milsurps collecting and trying to improve my knowledge of ww1 and ww2 era weapons. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.:)
I started out with an old Enfield No.1 Mk2 and the old battle rifles have multiplied like rabbits ever since. I enjoy making them look (and shoot) as close to their war-time careers as possible and the information I've found here has been a tremendous help to me. A few things have slowed me down over the past couple of years but collecting and shooting and learning more about these old vets has been a positive, saving grace.
I look forward to learning more from all of you.

Hi all, can anyone help, I am trying to obtain a butt grip for my bren Mk 1
i had to sell most of my collection due to financial problems. I had all kinds of milsurp such as Remington 1917, Ljungman 42b, MAS 49 56, too many to list. I can't believe how the prices have gone up I'm in the process of buying a MAS 49 56 which I originally bought for $244 which included all the accessories. I had planned to retire and shoot my collection. No such luck.
all for now
