Hello all. I've been browsing this site for several months absorbing information and basically I'm looking for non-destructive ways to accurize a 1903A3. Mine is a two groove 1943 dated CMP Greek return. It shoots darn well but I'm always looking for that little extra.

Hi everyone. I'm new here. My son and I have been collecting milsurps for about 2 years now. We have around 50 guns at this point. Most of the common ones, Mosins, Mausers, Lee Enfields, etc. A few uncommon ones like our Rasheed or our Hanyang 88. We've managed to shoot most of them.
I live in the gun unfriendly state of California and my son is in the Air Force in Alaska.

I am new to this group and need some help. I recently purchased a couple of M1 Carbines and would like to return them to as close to original as possible. Does anyone know a web site that lists most of the metal stamp marks for all/most of the different metal parts for the various M1 Carbines made?

finally posting after acquiring knowledge here, long time shooter now have m1a scout, 2 m1's in .308 a springfield and a fulton "enhanced", and a 03a3 needing a new barrel

new to this type of thing (forums) I feel privillaged to be amoungst so much knowledge and experience, I have been looking at this site for quite a long time and have gotten more than a bit of information that has helped some of the projects i have undertaken.

Hello everyone! My name is Chuck and I have 2 Lee Enfields. One is a No. 4, Mk 1* Savage and the other is a No 4, Mk 1 that we inherited. The second one is missing a bolt head so I have found the threads about bolt heads very interesting. I just replaced the broken rear sight and refinished the wood. It had been used as a department store display many years ago and the wood was in terrible shape.
I have a question regarding the "Surplus Enfield Warning" that is in the NRA's 1993 edition of the booklet "British Ehfield Rifles". It states that the barrels should be examined for "severe
craze cracking". I would like to know if this is a real widespread problem or if it has been found on only certain years, etc. or manufacturers. If so, are the Savage rifles also subject to this problem.

I found this site while searching for the original stock finish on a 1945 No. 5 Mk1 Jungle Carbine. (Before the Easy-off stripping, it was very dark and and almost blackish-red under old varnish) Can someone point me to the correct forum please?
