Hi All. I was just put on to this site by a fiend. I've been an avid shooter for 20+ years and in the past few years have become very interested in M14's, having owned several and currently owning a couple of Norinco's. I've got interest in other WWII - current era military rifles so I'm hear to read and learn. :wave:

I live in ne iowa and love military weapons. I have a ccr license and am looking for good website and sources for military weapons. I'd be interested in meeting other collecters from iowa,minnesota or wisconsin.
Just to say hello and thanks for the helpful information. I have collected militaty ever since I was big enough to own a gun. I am now 77 years old and have time to research some of the weapons I have owned. I shot NRA competition for several years making it to Camp Perry Nationals several times. I relic hunt with a metal detector--mostly CW sites but some WW 2 also. During WW2 the army trained 850,000 troops in Middle Tennessee and the area where I live was near the center of the training area.
My name is Richard and I am the new guy on the block. I enjoy collecting mil surps, and shooting them. I am lucky to have a range in my back yard so 3 seasons I shoot quite a bit. In the winter the itch gets so bad I bundle up and shoot in the freezing weather. Maybe only a few times til good sense prevails.
I am quite concerned that our 2nd amendment will soon be infringed upon with our statist government leadership.

I have recently purchased a 1944 MA, Lithgow SMLE. This is as new and does not have a mark on it. The barrel however is protruding from the end cap by 10mm and barrel length is 543mm.

I'm a new member and am interested in manually operated military firearms from the onset of breech loading innovations in the mid 19th century to the end of the Great War or so . I am also a longtime handloader for such weapons and an avid cast bullet shooter for over 50 years . I hope make contact with all those who have similar interests .
