Enfield Police Enforcer No 91.
Hi.
I'm new to this forum and have joined it to find out some information on my Enforcer No 91.
Some time ago I was in contact with 'Alan De Enfield', an Enforcer specialist, but I can't seem
to raise him now on the contact details I have for him.
If anyone has an interest in Enforcers, or knows the whereabouts of 'Alan' I wold be grateful if they would contact me.
Cheers. John.
new Member...looking for info for Ruger Mini 14 Model 180 and Springfield 1903a3
Hi,
I retired in 2011. I want to resume my shooting. Appreciate it if I can get help re; tricking out my Ruger Mini 14 and my Springfield 1903a3.
I want to glass bed both for better accuracy. I have never done that. I want to use Accu glass.
I cut up the 1903a3 stock years ago when I got it. I cut off the forend before the handguard to make the barrel free floating. I cut off the pistol grip to make if straight. I want to add a but pad to absorb recoil and a cheek pad. I am thinking of in-letting the stock to carry spare parts. On the r/h side of the but stock I want to mount two ammo pouches to carry stripper clips.
I have a military cleaning rod I want to inlet into the stock beneath the barrel...but keep the barrel free floating. I am thinking of putting a pipe in the forend...the same dimension as a M16 barrel...and using a M16 bipod on the pope when I want to bench shoot.
PROBLEM...what commercial rear and front sight can I use to mount on the rear sight "ears" or on the dove tail that holds the "ears bracket " on? I don;t want sights that require drill and tapping the receiver. Is there a sight that replaces the mil rear sight...within the mil base?
I am thinking of using leather on the cheek pad side and attaching a cover over the l/h side of the stock...in-letting containers for parts...etc. I will put an extraction tool under the recoil pad.
For the Mini 14, I will use the original wood stock as NY law says a pistol- grip stock requires licensing the gun as an Assault rifle and I don;t want to do that. Do I need barrel struts, gas port bushings and recoil buffers to increase accuracy? I plan on using the iron sites...and making my own 7 round magazines to comply with the 2013 NY gun law.
Any help re the above changes would be greatly appreciated.
I retired so have time on my hands but not a lot of money so must make most items my self.
I am going nuts trying to find a Springfield site I can mount on the "ears".
