Hi from new member
Been collecting only a short time, have several mosins and a Romanian SKS. Retired from the army, the US Army and I am looking for some new interests, and C&R firearms has interested me sense I was a teenager and my hunting rifle was a 1891 Argentine Mauser rifle. Dont have the mauser any more, gave it to my brother some 30 years ago when I first enlisted. I hope to find another one of these days. Also am a US citizen, I hope you don't hold that against me.

Hello all!
My name is Jared, found this site while looking for some info on Mitchells Mausers. Looked like there was a lot of knowledgeable people on here so I joined. I have been an avid collecter and shooter of old military rifles since I was a young man. My surplus rifle collection currently includes:
No.5 Mk1 Jungle Carbine
1917 Swedish Mauser
1915 Gew98 German mauser
1903A3
1895 Krag 30-40
1935 Luger
Looks like I am going to enjoy this forum! Lot of like minded people :)

Hello everyone,
I've been lurking on here for a few months now after bumping into this wonderful website while searching for info on Warner & Swasey scopes. I have always been interested in military arms, especially sniper rifles. I hope to learn more from other members and contribute.

Hello everybody!
I'm new on the forum and i will try to introduce myself.....
First,i must say milsurps forum is ,for me,the most informative about UK weapons(i own a N°4 smle and aL1A1 Fal).
Also the articles file is great and the technical level is high enough for a hobbist armorer, thanks!
I also must say I'm french, living in the southern Alps, shooter and reloader(15 differents cartridges, yes, the french rules are not friendly for milsurps collectors....).I'm certain my english is far from correct, but i will try to express myself as correctly as possible!
Thanks everybody for this great forum!https://www.milsurps.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

I am a long time collector of military rifles but a novice in the information category. I do about 50 gun shows in texas a year so if there is anything you are looking for I will probably run across it.
Can anyone provide information on a ross rifle that has been sporterized and has ply marked on the receiver? It is serial number 2942. Also I just acquired a mint condition mauser 71/84 that I would like some info on. Thanks, Dan
