A lot of the UK made Mk1 combination tool (main body only) were made by Accles and Shelvoak up in Brum somewhere. They also made humane animal killers....., well, not so humane if you were the animal of course...... for the trade and post war, specialised lorry bodies such as municipal dustbin lorries and some fire-engines. There, just another few bits of related Enfield info. But never, ever, ever let the Bren gun team loose with one of these comb. tools. Ruined more butt slide assemblies than anything else!
Any information about E P marking on combination tool?

Can you tell me how to use the lower end of the tool has three edges?
Regards
The lower end of the tool with the three edges (cutters) is in fact a reamer for clearing out the gas rings that form inside the venturi/flash eliminator of the original stepped Mk1 Bren barrel. I mention this in an earlier thread. Because this end of the tool fits snugly inside the venturi flash eliminator of the Mk1 barrel, it also allows you to use the barrel as a tommy-bar on the combination tool spanner part to unscrew the return spring tube which is tight on the body. Unless you undo/do it up absolutely correctly, then you will distort the butt slide and there's no way that it can be corrected once it's distorted. I suppose you COULD but it'd never gauge up again. All-in-all, the tool was a good idea but flawed in practice. Not just flawed, but totally flawed!
Looks like your tool is a Canadian made, re-packed for re-issue at the RSSD.
Did you notice the smaller special forked screw driver is broken?
