1) It is a new barrel < 500 rounds, it is a Lithgow H barrel. It used to shoot well then just went awol one day.
2) Crown is new-ish

4) tried this, nope.
5) should be ok though I have the rear one acting as a clamp over the centre bedding, I might try it free and see how it does.
6) I have re-seated/bedded the receiver as it has indeed dried out. If it was original I'd be more circumspect but its clearly been altered over the years so I do not know what is or isn't original, so no worries, I bought it to shoot it.
