Hi fellow enthusiasts,
As an ex soldier I still retain the thrill of handling weapons and have a small collection of de-acts one of which is a Mk1 Enfield Bren . Marked DP which I have learned from here, is for drill purpose. It has a blocked barrel but the chamber remains clear allowing chambering and ejecting drill rounds. I believe this is quite a rare animal as the barrel is also removable.
I am also a FAC holder and shoot .308 and .243 on the farm and at my local range.
Nice to meet you all !:)
Hello everyone I have read so much on this forum I wanted to join, even more when finding out my Enfield enforcer had increased in value, I have no.432 with the numbered 479 Pecar scope.
Anyway great site and I look forward to making friends here.
Hello,
I'm interested in learning more about Ullrich Vosmek and his guns. He was my great grandfather. Is there anywhere that I might learn more about him and his guns? Thank you
Hello out there, I'm new to the forum but have a few rifles in my collection. A K98 I was given by my father in law (he participated in the Bulge), A Springfield Krag I inherited from my Grandfather and two new ones I just picked up. They are a 1916 Berthier rifle in great condition, and what I believe to be a 6.5 Arisaka training rifle which is missing the front band and bayonet lug and has had the barrel shortened, which is toast No rifling and LOTS of pitting, It also has no markings except matching serial #'s on the receiver and trigger guard. Are the two I just picked up worth anything? I'm more interested in collecting German, English, Japanese (my father was a medic in the Pacific) and American arms. Thanks for any help you can give.
Hello, Love the site, tons of great info here. I enjoy collecting and building millitary rifles and MG's. I am currently building a Bren and have found many answers to my questions. Also I see a few screen names that I know from other sites that I frequent.
Hi Member,
I am new to the page and wanted to say hello. I have a shop in jacksonville, NC and I wanted to join so that I could have the opportunity to learn more about surplus guns.
Thanks
Hi everyone and thanks for such an informative site. I'm mostly a 1911 fan and have some class 3 stuff as well. Bought my first M1 about a month ago and seemed to have caught the M1/M2 bug.
Thanks carwashchris

Would like to say Hello! to everyone out there. I am new to this site. I hope I am able to share with everyone. I am a retired engineer who became a gunsmith. In my youth I was a sculptor. So, now I am a specialized artisian gunsmith. I do a lot of restoration on rifles and handguns. I am old school and do everything by hand, including cutting dovetails for sights. One thing that I do have is an Arisaka Type 38 rifle. The rifle is intact including the Mum. The serial numbers match and is in great shape. I have not decided quite what to do with it at tihs point. A customer gave it to me after I restored his Persian Mauser. I also have an M1 Garand that another customer gave to me as well. I am more interested in working on the Garand at the moment. Restoring it completely to it's full glory. Anyway, I do hope I am able to share with you all. Take care, be safe and keep the faith. Sal
