Hey everyone, 18 here and looking for advice on a first purchase, but who knows, I may just stick around for the chatter...
Thank you for letting me join like minded people.
I have been collecting for a few years, from a Colt 1860 army to Garands.
I have a problem with my 1903 Springfield. I can not get off the floor plate or removes the trigger guard. From what I have been reading it may be a Greek return. I have looked for a pin but can not find it.
Any help would be appreciated.

kevinL from NE OrYgunn. My little burg sits right next to the recently decommissioned Umatilla Army Chemical Depot. Aprox 24% of USA's assorted chems from WW1's mustard gas up to modern binary mix gasses meant for a huge Russian sweep on the European battle grounds.
Been interesting to see thee facilities come down and gasses be incinerated finally.
I am fifty-two, collecting arms, blades, assorted things that a GI or Marine might carry with h is or her rifle and packed gear.
Particular passion is taking old crud parts, junque stuff, and taking time to make an armory fit repair, ready to be handed back to the
soldier-marine, etc. who needed it in the Wayback.
Trade/barter/dicker/cash, whatever it takes to seal a deal, willing to work with folks.
Found the Milsurps via a post via Subguns.com (My home on net) describing the length that folks here went to help this gent solve a problem.
Sounds like a group of RKI's I'd like to be able to read from. (RKI- Reasonably Knowledgeable Individuals)
Thanks for allowing my registration.

I found this forum recently and decided to join. I'm happy to see the members are from all over the globe. Almost a year ago I bought a sporterized Savage No4 Mk 1* from the widow of a friend. I had helped him start reloading for it and we developed a load using AA2520 which I gave him and Sierra 180gr Pro-Hunter bullets, we never got to hunt with it. My 2520 supply is low and I want a suggested starting point with Varget. For me reloading is a "means to an end" not a hobby. This is my first SMLE and I will not look for another.
I've been a gunsmith for 30+ years and have collect several of my country's "Marshall" weapons. I work full time as a machinist and spent five years as an instructor for Weapons Training School here in CA. Well that is more than I've told anyone in a long time and I hope enough for now, a late dinner is calling. To my brothers and sisters "separated by a common language", cheers!
Hello All,
Just signed aboard and looking forward to getting to know you. Been collecting "gathering" US military (equipment and weapons) for quite awhile now, about forty years or so. I know a little about a lot, but not a lot about anything. Best Regards, Bud
