Hi all, another CGN member :)
Hi everybody. I join this forum with great pleasure to share my own experience and to learn from others ( certainly the most important  ). I am a long time target shooter, mainly with Mauser's rifles BUT a few years ago I came by a 1917 BSA SMLE and now I am completely addicted to British rifles. Few weeks ago I bought a 1942 Long Branch N°4 mk1* in pretty good shape, with brand new barrel and was like a kid with Christmas present. Unfortunately this rifle have an hidden issue and I am a bit disappointed :crying: . Hope to cure the problem.
Also hope you will forgive my poor English .........:o.
Fred
Hi everybody, My name is Jason and I'm a gunaholic.
I caught the milsurp bug in high school with first a Mosin, then a Mauser, and a dozen or so rifles later, here we are.:D
I found this forum while looking for info on an oddly marked smle I recently picked up, and so far I like what I see.
Hello from NW Miss. ...50yrs. shooting M1 carbines, Garands & M14's
Just thought I'd jump in an introduce myself. I'm Jim, am almost 62, retired LEO and semi retired gunsmith of over 45 years. Still love gunsmithing, re-loading, shooting, off roading and hunting when I can. I also love shooting my M1 Rifle and M1 Carbine, probably more than anything else I have. I have years of experience smithing the M1 Rifle, M1A Rifle and of course the M1 Carbine. I am hoping to contribute what I can, when I can. There are probably a few of you out there that know me from a few other forums. I always use the same user name.
Jim.................
Just introducing myself, big AK guy but like a variety of other military surplus. Just wanted to say " Hi " from Florida.
Glade to be joining your community. I am a hunter, shooter, collector.
Keen interest in Mausers.
Hi Ya'll, glad to be here!
I live in Georgia and have been an avid hunter all my life.
Just getting into the milsurp arena. Got my first SKS yesterday along with a rifle that I can't identify (got these at an estate sale cheap :) I attached a couple photos below (I think I did this right)
If you can help me identify this rifle I would be very grateful. Basically it's a semi-auto, box-fed (no mag came with gun) rifle with only a few numbers on the receiver and the butt stock. The action is funky - you slide the triangular shaped receiver cover forward and them back to drop the bolt...
Anyway, looking forward to learning from all of you and having fun.
not new to mausers, just this site,

Been collecting a few other milsurps but just recently picked up my first LE, a '52 No4, MkII, in darn nice condition.
