Hello and wow what a nice site. My father (60 yrs old) and I (37 yrs) have have found a common hobby in guns over the last couple years. My son (just turned 6 yrs old) is partially to blame because he kept begging us into the shops when he was 4. Once we looked a couple times, my father admitted that he had always wanted more guns but his priorities had held him back. I have always had a few too many hobbies but seeing my son's enthusiasm got me thinking back to when I was young and played army with friends daily. Also I was very fond of my pellet rifle as a prized possession. So a few years ago we owned a couple pellet rifles and 16 gauge single shot. As of yesterday we are up to 27 total between the three of us. I tend to have more affection for rifles and milsurps, my father can't resist handguns. Lastly I just want to thank you guys out there with the experience to share here, and for taking the time to put it online.
Hello All.
Newbie to the community. Just found this site recently. There is a stunning amount of great info here!
I seem to have picked up the bug from my father for the Lee Enfield and now starting to catch one for the 91/30 as well. Will be getting one soon I hope!
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am a bit suprised I have been collecting as long as I have and have not run across this forum before. Looks like a great place to learn and share and cant wait to do so!

Hi people. I've been collecting milsurp for about 25 years now, mainly Japaneses and Finnish.
New member Vitruvianman here. Excited to finally join the forum. I've used it as a resource in the past but now hope to be able to contribute. Collecting since 2004, no turning back now...
Hello folks
Kind of new to posting on boards.Like most people here I'm a collector but in my case it's rather limited.I think Ill enjoy this site.
Hi Guys ,
Just a quick intro , I am a shooter in New Zealand , by main interests in firearms at the moment , involves accurate bolt action rifles , in particular SWS , sniper rifles of one form or another , mostly of the late 70s early 80s onwards .
I have a few custom built rifles using US custom actions , ie Surgeon SA & Badger M2008 etc , as well as factory rifles , like the Parker Hale M85 , Sako TRG-22 , Steyr SSG69 , and AI AW as well .
Most of these are running cans , either local NZ made , or Swiss BTs , and Finn Reflex & Ase Utra SL7s etc , its much more pleasant to shoot these rifles suppressed .
Most of my shooting is either on farms ( targets or rabbits/goats etc ) , or at informal long range steel shoots etc .
My 2 favourites in 308 are the M85 by PH , & my std AI AWF .
Cheers Chris
Hi Guys, I'm new to this site, but a long time shooter and collector. I mostly focus on semi-auto battle rifles, but don't let that stop me from pursuing anything else that perks my interest. In the last month, I've bought an AG42B, an Hakim, but then went off path with a beautiful 91/30 original sniper, with matching numbers &dated scope.
