hello , I was referred to this site by a friend . Am a long time Black Powder rifle and revolver shooter. Now retired and too much time on my hands and only enough knowledge to be dangerous. My pal has enticed me into a do over on a Lee Enfield No 1 Mk 3 . I think he has a higher respect for my ability then I !
I do look forward to roaming the forum and trying to not make a nuisance of myself . Cheers :)

Greeting to all. My name is Bob Dickson and I am new to this forum. I am a former career Marine (1979-1995) and have a M1896 Swedish Mauser. I look forward to reading different posts on many surplus weapons.
I'm an old guy who likes old military small arms. I have an SKS , a type 53, a WWII US training rifle and a 12 guage bird gun. I also have a Iver johnson 22 sidewinder revolver and a FEG PA 63.
I'd like to have a SMLE and a Garand, but the price of Garands probably prevents that. I'd like a Mauser too. But i'm not holding my breath! Rick
Well took a bit but I'm joining the crowd. I've kinda had an obsession with guns and the bigger the better only problem never had time and when I did have time I didn't have the money,so stayed with small american stuff till recently and I fell in love with sks's. I've got a ice Russian and a working on Chinese but love both and both are awesome shooters sorry not the keep in safe type they were made to use and I'll use them for all they're worth lol. Anyway guess thats plenty to start, oh I have a knack for finding stuff hard to find ammo and such. Anyway laterand thanks
Eddie
I have a 20 round magazine for a 1903 Springfield. This was the modification to the 1903 for use in observation aircraft. I would like to sell it. It is new in the original box and has the typewritten letter from the original vendor, who I believe was Bannerman. I am curious as to the current value of this magazine.

Hello everyone. New to the site and just picked up my first Enfield, a No 4 Mk 1 yesterday. Am originally from GB, but now in the States and have always wanted one. Have learned a lot from this forum already and look forward to contributing in the future.
Was just looking at the Weedon Ordinance Depot thread. I grew up about 5 miles from there, but never knew its significance until today.
