Hi I'm aFlying10uk, a new member. I'm mainly interested in 20th century military history and collecting militaria. Both my parents were born in the 1930s and so lived through WW2 as children. I was brought up on stories of WW2 and I think that this is where my interest comes from. My father suffered serious hearing damage in an air raid in which 4 people, sadly, lost their lives.
I am a metalworker and precision engineer by trade and am able to admire the craftsmanship that went into making military equipment of days gone by.

hey guys,
just wanted to take a moment and say hello from bitter cold Northwest PA! My love for all things classic started when I aquired my first M1 Garand at 18 years old. From that moment on I've have and love/hate relationship trying to acquire the items I want. Haha! Looking forward to reading and getting advice from you guys!

Received my RM1 Special a week ago, pleased with appearance. The TA was extremely
difficult to remove. Postings on CMP forums indicated this was normal, and gave some good/questionable solutions. Would like to hear input on this.
Too cold and snowy to shoot yet. Bought 240 rds of HXP to shoot and eventually reload.
I will be using a Dillon 450 w/primer update to load with. Gave my single stage press away a couple of months ago  so will be using the Dillon primarily. Received good info from
Lapriester on Garand forum on this but any info would be welcome on this also.
Thanks, Dan

Hi all,
I've joined up to help get my sporterised SMLE back to original. Lots of good info on here and thanks for any help in advance.
If anyone has some spare wood (Butt, Forend and front top wood) for a No1 Mk3* SMLE Lithgow to fit a heavy barrel then let me know. I'm in Australia.

Hello. Main areas of interest are loads, swede infantry rifles, US infantry rifles, and 1911's. Also any basically dumb guns in general because them smart guns ain't bein' made yet...

Hi Bobcat, Same model as mine and it has been sporterised with synthetic body work only. It shoots very well so it will be used as a back up piggy rifle Wood does turn up but depends what condition and originality you are after. Cheers
