Right then recon you explained that one in Bristol fashion. Actually my father in law whom resides in Stratton St Margret ,Swindon,Wilts has been known to use that very expression amongst others that I can not list here. I can only say that some of them have to involve a rooster, and also a pest control specialist.
They are all proofed even though some appear new and unused. Peter pretty much says it all in his response.
Not that it even matters a hoot, but are they all UK Military proofed or simple commercial proofed.
To show how simple and legal it is to import one, even to a simple, private FAC holder, I'm going to be the first to do it.

Would these bolts be legal to carry on a commercial flight. I only mention this as my Mum inlaw is going to be here in November. I would only do it if it's legal. Of course the last time my wife came back they confiscated our STEAK and KIDNEY PIES they were in the sealed tins for goodness sake!!
It all depends on how much you like your mum in law!!! The bolt head is a Section 1 part as it is pressure bearing and as such can only be possed in the UK by someone with either a variation on there Fire Arms Certificate or by a registered Fire Arms Dealer, I suspect that mum in law is neither of these so I don't advise this course of action. The "Small parts" although not pressure bearing could also cause a problem if she was stopped and asked why she was in possession of firearms parts. Best leave exporting in the hands of the likes of Brian Dick who knows the system and will be able to ensure that neither your hard work nor a prospective customers money is wasted by having the goods confiscated and destroyed...Quote:

As long as you have the shotgun on your shotgun certifiate to which the bolthead is for, if it doesnt fit then..... Plus still has to be proofed, and If I remember it has to be done within 10 days of import if a private import, plus the bolthead has to be on the rifle to be proofed.Quote:

One thing I would say to all Members, The trouble with trying to bring stuff in under the counter is its not just the individual who gets the slap, the whole shooting and collecting community suffers as a result, as it provides more ammo for the anti gun gang thus giving us more bad press.
