Harris "bench-rest" bipods?

I was going to use that pic once before in a thread about the Royal Family shooting, but it looked a bit posed.
I think it was one of the european families, she is an Olympian.........Skiing or one of the Winter Olympic sports.
Not quite as Horsey as the Brit. side of the family.

Its only Zara who doesn't look the same, and not disimilar to the yong lady the photo. Even Fergies girls are in keeping with the Royal House of Hanover look!!;)

The younger ones really do need to get proper jobs and stop being seen as bludgers. As for the two Fergie daughters - and father -..... Best stop now before I get going

Tovarich Kalashnikov seemed to think it a good idea to use a LH muzzle thread. (14mm?)

He and his team probably did this because only the most heavy-handed peasant could possible screw on some piece of "unauthorised" gear. And to make sure the "thread protector", or flash-hider / compensator / blank-firing adapter, etc. didn't fall off, he added a locking plunger.

M-16s have had a 1/2" x 28 RH muzzle thread since day 1. "Positive retention" has consisted of either a heavy spring washer or, in the A2 / A3 / M4, a short stack of "peel" washers.

I have NEVER seen one fall off or shake loose on such an arrangement if properly assembled and torqued up.

One of my acquaintances has the "factory workshop manuals" for the AI rifles, including the "big kid's" model, the AW 50.

I'll see if he will let them out of his sight for a day or so. Warm up the scanner, (for research purposes only) and load up the coffee maker.
