Yes, I'd rather have a Royal Family than not!
I don't recall any of the Royal Family spouting anti gun BS like so many other people in high places do. For that I respect the willingness of the Queen and her family picking up a gun and enjoying using it, even if is only for a photo op!
Enfield,
Most of the"lads" in the Royal Family have been very keen game shots. Inc. Prince Charles.
Years ago back in England I used to get "Shooting Times" magazine, and on the cover was always the same quote from The Duke of Edinburgh;
"The wildlife of today is not ours to dispose of as we please, we have it in trust, We must account for it to those who come later".
So yes, keen game shot, And conservationist.. something inexplicable to an "anti".
Prince Phillip got into DEEP **** when he spoke out against the pistol ban !
Somewhere there's a photo of Prince Charles shooting a P14 with an Enfield hammer forged barrel, probably at Bisley.
"Aiming for Harrods" could be the caption? :D
Knowing their deep rooted detestation for Mohammed Al-Fayed (the owner of Harrods who's son was Doddi) you could caption it '...gunning for Harrods'!
Incidentally, thread 61, we still have that rifle at Warminster. I understand that it's since been zeroed!
Prince Charles fired at Bisley one year in the early 1980s (or late 1970s). I seem to recall he was on a house of lords team. I will see if I can drag up the details
back in the 1980s he was the NRA president or honorary something important to the association. All that seems to have changed after the 87.
It was the Vizianagram
Note that he became president of the NRA in 1975Attachment 64322
Yes, they have the rifle in the museum there along with a photo
