Hello i'm a new member and would like to say hello.
KC MO. Hi all.
Love the WWII stuff mainly.. US weapons currently but may get into other stuff down the road.
Hi All,
I've been browsing these forums for a few years and always found them fascinating, full of great information and knowledgeable people, so thought I would finally join up.
I've always been interested in guns, particularly machine guns. Living in Australia made this interest difficult to follow, but since I obtained a dealer/armourer licence things got a bit easier! This is basically like a US FFL but allows us to own full autos as well.
Of course there are not a lot of these available in Australia - most of them are WW2 era commonwealth weapons.
Currently working on restoring a Lithgow Bren Mk I that was lightly deactivated and sold through the AUSSALES disposal program in the 80's.
Much like the US, such a gun in Australia is now treated a fully functional and registered MG, since the deactivation only consisted of drilling the chamber and welding the bolt face.
So looking forward to further researching barrel repair here, and hopefully talking to some people that have repaired barrels with similar damage...
Hey there guys.
I have been searching for info about a recent purchase and came across this forum. It looks like the time and dedication some of you have to this is downright amazing, so THANK YOU!
I started collecting Milsurps when I found out my wife was pregnant with my first son. Now, 12 years later and he has been shooting his Mosin Nagant since he was 8 years old!
I love this hobby, and I love being able to share it with my kids.
I just recently acquired a 03A3 Smith Corona, so I am going to head over to the 1903 Threads and post a question.
Follow me over there and lets talk!
Thanks.
Jim
New member saying hello,
Hello to all,
I am new to the forum , but not new to firearms.
I enjoy all types of firearms but am most partial to muzzleloaders , classic blue steel and wood stocked guns and of course military firearms.
As for other interests they include a love of reading and learning about history.
Looking forward to hearing from y'all.
Andy
Hello everyone (howdy y'all),
Long time reader and "lurker". Decided I needed to say hello with the official introduction.
I'm a former soldier with the US Army Field Artillery and AMEDD. My father was given a No.5. Enfield (Jungle) Carbine by the ANZACs during one of his tours in Viet Nam, so I've always had a passion for Milsurps. I do shoot in the M1 Garand match each year but haven't earned my gold medal yet.
Thank you all for being a great source of information.
God Bless,
Hey everyone. New member here just looking to be active and part of a good milsurp forum!
