HI All
I have been collecting long guns for only a few years now and have found a liking to Lee Enfields...There's a family connection with this too. James Paris LEE is my G,G,G,G Uncle. Because of this, I have inherited the family heirloom...the Prototype of the Lee Enfield. It was built in Wallaceburg Ontario at the Lee family foundary...its actually a 20 gauge! This has become my pride of the collection...just looking to find out more about it and others
Lookin forward to obtaining some info from all the years of experience out there...

Fresh meat here!! Just got my first Lee enfield No.1 MkIII SMLE made in 1918. She's not real pretty, but her guts got game!! First 10 shots hit the gong target at 300 yards with the original sights. The stock seemed to move forward about 3/8". There is a broken wood piece on the right side of the fore stock that seems to hold everything from sliding in the opposite direction of the recoil. I would like to replace the original stock with something newer but it doesn't have to be brand new. Having a hard time locating anything. I would appreciate any help I can get in locating something. I would like to keep shooting her but the fore stock just isn't going to hold up. 2 upper hand guards and buttstock are fine, but would prefer everything to match somewhat for looks.
Hi everyone! I'm a new member and proud owner of a no.5 mk1 jungle carbine, schmidt rubin 1896/11, and a mosin nagant m91/30. Glad to be a member of this site and look forward to reading the forums and enjoy all the information this site and members have to offer.
Hello Everyone
I am not an avide gun collector but have been around firearms all my life. After 34 years in the military I am now volunteering with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment Museum (located in Edmonton Alberta Canada). I am helping a co-worker find information on Canada's Machine Guns of WW 1. Specifically we are looking to add to our collection a Colt 1895/1914 Machine Gun which was part of the Canadian Army in WW 1 before it was replaced by the British Vickers.
So the museum would like to acquire a Colt 1914 Machine Gun for its collection. Any additional information, literature, etc dealing with the formation of the Machine Gun Corps of the Canadian Army in WW 1 would also be appreciated. Our Museums Web Page is www.lermuseum.org
Look forward to learning and communicating with all of you in the future.
