THere seeems to be plenty of barrelled actions in the UK, found during the closure of BSA and the other small arms manufacturers. Missing the usual bits of course which should be available soon in any case.
The internal magazine interface plate is a one hit pressing/stamping so should be easy enough to manufacture and that just means finding the actual BSA magazines............ Mind you, if it were me doing the job, I'd just use a readily available current .22" magazine fixed into a standard No4 magazine until I found the real McCoy.
Have you given any thought to magazines yet DaveN?

We now have the ejector plate in our possession and hope to produce enough to complete the bolt heads we have. I can see why it isn't cheap. Andy says it will take about 28 separate operations to make one part. When he saw it he said he wasn't even close to what he thought it looked like. Glad we have this part in hand . I know it's not my shout Dave but from the pure production engineering point of view, surely the ejector would be far simpler if it were a fabrication of the main, flat, drilled/countersunk plate with the ejector silver soldered in place.......no? There is no actual 'load' as such on the plate or ejector part if you don't count the actual ejection load which is barely measurable, even with the most ham-fisted user.

I'll pass that on to Andy as we were planning on making it out of a solid block of what ever type of metal our example is, but my non engineering mind thought why is this ejector so elaborate when all it does is knock a 22cal casing out, wouldn't a simple rectangle post do the same thing? The great thing about this project is we are not talking 30 cal and high pressure here so we rest at ease on the safety part of said project. I've just sold (Sunday) a BSA sportsman mag which I know can be converted to No.7 spec, wish I'd seen this thread first as I'd have offered it up.
