What’s your Lee Enfield Holy Grail?

Not sure where to start. Began three years ago with a pawnshop 1915 Lithgow MKIII and am now so deeply infected that they all look desirable. Latest additions; Lithgow 1915 MKIII with sn 82 short of the first, 1918 LSA MKIII, 1915 BSA MKIII, 2 1918 MKIII*'s one BSA, one EFD, 1941 Maltby No4 MK1, 1942 Fazakerly No4 MK 1, 1944 Fazakerly No5 MK1, 1943 Savage No4 MK1*, 1943 BSA No4 Mk1 FTR'd to No1/2 in 1951, a totally Bubba'd 1924 No1 MKV. Who knows what's next? I guess the grail is the next really nice Longbranch or an RIC or a NZ contract carbine. Is there perhaps a methadone type cure for the Smelly fever?

Who has a Trials No. 4 ? I found me a project gun. More later.....

I've got one, but its been modded to "T" specs. Is yours a non-snipered receiver?

You do realize the rear sight mounting portion of the receiver has been cut off?!?!

Fully aware of the MAJOR issues with this rifle. The seller was quite nice at answering each question and didn't get insulted when I was giving him directions on how to set his camera up. :confused: This will be a majorly expensive resto, if I decide to take it on. :thup:

Mine are pretty mundane:

Unissued Savage & Longbranch No4Mk1

I like the North American Enfields, but I am not a fan of the No4Mk1* bolthead cut-out.

Also a Unissued No5Mk1 would be nice.

Hopefully my dream LE will be making it's way back to me, my Grandpa's No 1 MK III Built on his birth year, 1917. The bore is all but gone and I sold it thinking I'd just put his stocks on another barreled receiver.
Always regretted it but after two years of trying to figure who I sold it to I found him just tonight. He thinks he still has it and is happy to send it back. I am a very happy boy!

The other one is the MKII MLM that goes back 5 generations in our extended family right to the Boer conflict. It is bubba'd but to have that piece of family history means everything.

One other would be a real nice Speed Lee like the officers had in the dark continent. With a Rigby style stock and express sights boy it would be a fight what one to take out!

My holy grail :bow: Enfield (of right now -- yeah, it morphs on occasion) is a No. 7 of the British make. Anyone who's interested in helping a knight along on his quest should PM me.
