That loks like a 'pole charge' being carried up the nearest ladder. Used for blowing gaps in barbed wire entanglements. I'm not sure that the small Infantry ones are used now but stand to be corrected. There is a monster version called a Giant Viper fired from a trailer, used for blowing a gap through minefields

Looks like a Centurion AVRE towing one of the special trailers mounted with the giant viper thinggies. I'd forgotten how effective they were!
