Cool.....Frank
Nice, can you play this instrument like an virtuoso?

Nah.......You need a big Buick or Packard. They were the prefered get-away autos as they were more powerful than the Fords that the law had. :D
Will that case close? Or just leave it open for displays?
Emri
Clyde Barrow and John Dillinger preferred Fords.

Ermi,
Yes the case will close all the way, after a lot of adj.
Im a poor gangster, the 31 ford is all i can afford. but i think with a thompson you could put some distance between you and anyone trying to follow to close .
Harlen, Great pic's of Clyde's letter to ford and the pic's of Clyde Barrow's ford.
Here's one more i found of the car.
That was after the V8 was introduced by Ford. During prohabition in the 20's the Fords were no match for a bigger more powerful Buick, Packard, etc.
I was just ribbing Iboos. His car being a 31 would be a 4 cyl., but he took it as intended and fessed up to being a "poor gangster". I'll bet he has a very nice car.
Happy Holidays,
Emri
I knew you were ribbing him Emri. ;)
You should see the Vietnam Era Jeep that he restored!
Of the '31 Ford AND the Jeep!!!
It's a little slow this time of year on the forums.............
Car pics are OK by me !!!
I have a 1939 Ford Tudor (85 HP V8) that I was going to have restored and on the road in 1 year. That was in 1974; when I was young and energetic and had great plans for the future. I still have it. School, ( when I was going to do it in 1 yr.) , Marriage, Kids, Work, and other stuff keep getting in the way. Too many irons in the fire..... It's not done yet.....
Anyhow, "when" I do get to working on it, I plan on making one of those neat flip down boards under the dash to hold a couple of handguns just like Bogart had in his coupe in "The Big Sleep".
Y'all have a Merry Christmas,
Emri
Ermi,
My 2nd car was a 1939 ford 2 door sedan, i had some great time's in it.
Bogart was my fav. also.
Marry Christmas and a Happy New year to you all:beerchug:.
