WTK: Anyone seen book called "Out of the Valley to Victory"

This book is copywright 1943. it is all about the company called Saganaw Steering Gear. has a history of their production of machine guns and M1 carbines.. the last half of the book is all the employees, the mgrs pics and a ful list of the employees.. kind of like a year book. anyone ever seen one of these??

Don't have the book, but my wife's great aunt is Thurlow, Lois J. (Jean). She is on the list of employees on the link that G26ster posted. She made firing pins. More specifically made the cut on the left side of the tail. Most of wife's family has worked for SSG, Delphi, or now I think it is called Saginaw Steering Solutions. Her father still works at the new plant off of 75. They leveled the old gun plant several years ago. I have not got to talk to Jean about it other than at a family reunion real briefly. But what she discribed was spot on to what a firing pin is. She said she just knew she was making one cut and passing it down the line. I would like to get a copy of this myself because of the family connection.

Did they put these out each year or all they all the same? Just wondering.

I found it burried in a display case at Knob Creek this past sat. What are these things worth?? or are they pretty common. paid about $50 for this one.

The three I own are all the same and copyrighted 1943. I don't know if they were made any other years but for 1943 when they were producing alot of US military gear. I will ask a gentlmen I know that worked at the Saginaw plant if he knows anything about the book. He was a manager at the plant and specializes in Saginaw made products like the M1 Carbine.
