Is this genuine or a repro? I am thinking about changing the rear sight on a QHMC and the wear on this sight would match my receiver pretty close. I'm asking because I don't want to spend that kind of money on a repro.

I think, way too much for the condition it is in.
It looks real to me. It looks like a pretty decent example as well, most look like they were removed with a sledge hammer. However, I am not sure if QHMC used that style of staking on the sight pin. The few original QHMC's that i have seen all have the X style staking on the pin. But I havent seen enough to say for sure. It could have been a lateral support sight base to another company. ALso, note that by showing the entire link to a bunch of carbine collectors doesnt help getting the sight for a good price either. If you just post the pictures, you might stand a better chance of getting a good deal.
Mine has that kind of staking and I am 100% sure mine is legit. That one on eBay is worth more than $96. They usually go for $150 or so......when you can find them.
