What kind of rifle & cal. would you want to use when hunting a Bigfoot/Sasquatch ;-)
OK, I know this is a little strange but someone I know is writing a book and ask me the questions. Being a nonbeliever in such nonsense I didn't even know what to say.
But looking into the supposed topic of the mythic beast we're talking about a creature that walks on two legs, can move very fast, is very strong and robust, an excellent swimmer, has excellent night vision, is extremely elusive and cunning.
Weighs in at between 800 and 1200 pounds and is between 7 to 12 feet tall. It would live in rugged mountainous terrain near a water source like a river or lake.
It would be omnivorous and moves around mostly at night, but has been known to do so in the daytime as well, is supposedly known for hunting deer and elk. Is thought to be an ambush predator.
Usually only seen as a lone individual or a pair, but are thought to sometimes move in groups.
So the question was "What kind of rifle & caliber would you want to use when hunting a Bigfoot."
I would want something semi-auto, I'd guess a .308 would be good enough, so maybe an Springfield M1A with a 20 round mag. (but than all I ever hunt are white tail deer) Probably would want a large cal. side arm for a close in backup too.
What do you all think?
Agree, disagree, or completely different choices.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this one
