With many thanks to Simon who provided me the required information I wanted to know how much interest in a exact reproduction of the adjustment tool for the 1918 Model scope would be? Simon suggested a price at somewhere around € 30 which sounded reasonable to me.
Attached the picture which I'd like to thank Simon for. This is basically what it is and how it should look like :) Please let me know whether someone would be interested to see if it makes sense to start this project!

If you are going to make them it would be nice if you could add an identifying mark - like * after the 1918 so that future generations will be able to identify them as reproductions.
Just a thought but perhaps you could also scale up the tool and also produce an example for the Aldis scope prism adjustment too?

Nigel, I plan to make reproductions as close as possible to the original, to allow anyone to have something not only to adjust the scope, but mainly for incomplete sets where this part is missing. Therefore to be as correct as possible is required. However, I definately do NOT plan to make something which will then soon be sold as rare original stuff, to get as much profit as possible. It will be a compromise, probably your idea to add a * would be something that would fullfill both being as correct as possible, but still to be able to identify it as a reproduction. Probably I'd add that one to the rear of the tool, so it won't be noticed that easy and the front side looks more correct.
Simon, shouldn't be a problem but would need dimension on that one since I do not have an Aldis scope myself. However, I received the first prototype as of today, done rather roughly. It somehow looks that the used metal is too thick (I've used 1.5mm steel), can someone help me with that and measure a real one?

Thickness is 1.42mm on mine. On the projecting tips it is only 1.17mm.

Nigel, that helps. Oh well, I might then just do the whole tool on a flatter type of metal, since having two thicknesses is rather impossible to reproduce. And after all that is something which is clear to everyone that it's a reproduction.
As we're by the topic: Both Simon told me to tell that this tool will also work for the Australian 1918 type scope, plus I received an inquiry whether it will work for that scope. So yes, there are more possible users for that adjustment tool out there!
€dit: just curious, is 1.42 and 1.17 something without comma in inches? I believe they didn't use the metric system back than (... same as today).
Measurements are metric i.e. millimeters
I have a tool which I believe was made for adjusting suitably modified third pattern & also of course fourth pattern aldis scope prisms. It is not ordnance marked but has clearly been made very professionally - I suspect by a contemporary armourer. I will send you photographs if it is of interest.
Nigel, thanks. I was more referring to what they used back then when designing this tool. I assume they used inches (or was there another measuring unit?), and therefore I was wondering whether it's something with only one digit after the comma in inches.
Definately yes Roger! That would then be the second run of adjustment tools. However, feedback wasn't very much so far, so not sure if this project makes sense. Problem with pricing is not manufacturing the tools themselves, rather than having a die for the markings being made (especially with this size).
