L42A1 Sniper Rifle IWS Scope Mount Bracket on that auction sight

Okay so I purchased a replica iws sight for a l42a1 on ebay on the 15th Dec. I still haven't received it or even a response from the seller on what is going on. I know I can file a case to get my funds back but I much rather have the bracket. I know it takes time to ship and export stuff but I haven't even received a shipping confirmation for it.

My question is have any others out there purchased from this vendor in Canada? How long did it take to receive a shipping confirmation?

I can only think there must be a very genuine reason for the delay - the vendor is a good bloke in my experience, & I've known him for about 20 years. I'm sure there'll be a bona fide explanation. He posts regularly on here by the way, but not under the same name as his eBay handle.

Chances are its in the UK but held up at customs etc, I was waiting for a magazine adapter a few years ago (different vendor), I received a note saying I had to go to the sorting office to pay a charge checking over the small parcel it had the date it arrived in the UK this was 3 months before they sent the note.......waist of time complaining as the average worker on the counter had the IQ equivalent of a can of mixed veg.

I fully agree with Roger's comments, having had one of the brackets shipped to the UK.

Yes, I got one too. It fits the standard tabs perfectly, so that a scope with other than a one inch tube can also be used. My order took some time to be delivered. But that´s not all that important. There´s nothing else available, so no alternative.

I've dealt with him just recently (via PM, not ebay) and he was absolutely terrific.

Received this early in December, postage might have taken 10 or 12 days out here to AUS which I though to be quite reasonable (have had other things posted from much nearer locations, take inordinately longer?)

The Bracket itself is first rate , and the basic gauging of it that I've done, matches exactly the pattern room drawings for pad locations & sizing of interface features i.e the spigot & bevels etc.
I've had to resort to measuring as I don't as yet own an L42 or No4t against which to trial fit it, though I'm in the middle of building a repro - hence the bracket pad blanks I've machined.

So if he says he'll do something, am sure he will - so stay patient mate, as we all know things can be very hectic this time of year ;)

Canada Post in December? give it at least another week before you start to panic.

I've had Canada Post "expedited overnight shipping" for $85 which TOOK 1-1/2 WEEKS to arrive....

The Canadian Post Office does seem to be just a bit "French"
