At first glance I noticed the patch on his left sleeve. After a second look this guys uniform is all jacked up,,,never mind.
L.A.H. monogram on his shoulder boards. They were a big seller in the 1970s and 80s...
For an SS just in what one would surmise is a battle they must have hopped straight from the half track fully kitted out to have a go, certainly love the neat pressed GI uniform with tidy pack and a very clean battle field to boot.
To take a real image at this quality as a one off and not posed...........the photographer would have got the Pulitzer for detail...............great what reenactors can do with monochrome film, start doubting many shots
That's what I notice how nice the picture was...but they probably did a re-enactment.
