Typical parts for early 1920's assembled 1903?
Is there a generally accepted time frame for parts turnover when transitions occur? For example, I'm looking at a 2-22 barrel dated rifle, serial number 1242226, and it has the following features that I assume would belong on an earlier rifle- smooth milled butt plate, smooth trigger, straight blued bolt with J5 marked on the safety lug. The rest of the rifle looks good - boxed DAL stamp, two lug finger grooved stock, excellent bore, all screws look tight and unbuggered. The whole thing looks 'right", however I'd like to know if this sounds correct from a parts standpoint, or better to take a pass.
