RARE STEN SUB MACHINE GUN MAGAZINE FOR INDIAN TROOPS! - YouTube

Don't know how to put this...let's see... "HORSEC*CK!" Yes, that's it. That was what I was searching for.
Or as my old mate Robert Trupp, aka 'Bobby Gripweed' - a Barnaby Boy of old, would say, 'Bull's wool!'
Strangely, while I had access to the DGIOB Director General, Indian Ordnance Board papers relating to the Sten gun, I never saw any mention of this very short magazine. You can actually see that it is a 19 round mag that's been shortened. On that basis alone I'd say that this man, whoever he is, was spouting horse manure. I was almost expecting him to say at the end that while these magazines are extremely rare, he has uncovered a small cache and is selling them at a premium to UK naive collectors.
Yeh but, his "standard 32rnd Sten mag" isn't. It's a 19rnd mag.
The short 10 round Sten magazines are an American thing.
A few States have laws restricting magazine capacity to 10 rounds, California, NJ, IL. So, people cut mags down or put plugs in them to restrict them to 10 rounds.
They are also modified for Star Wars blasters.

Yes. They were both modified to 19 rounds. Then the short one was cut down to 10 rounds. You can see the holes where the brass rods were.
Sterling did the same, just converted 32 rounders. The good news for Sterling was that they could utilise damaged magazines that had come i from nations who had sent their L2's in for reconditioning. Sell them NEW magazines and use the old dented ones as 10 or 15 rounders. Everyone a winner!
In other words. he's full of more shite than a Christmas turkey!
If I were an Indian, I would be deeply offended by his ridiculous comments. 2.5 million Indian troops served in WWII. 87,000 died.
He’s spouting Fake History, like the Fake “News” media today. There’s no truth in it. It’s nothing but dross.
Looks like he’s an avid collector. I hope he doesn’t give the rest a bad name.
I like your turn of phrase Brian! In Australia we had plenty of sayings/phrases like that, that I quickly learned! When I got back to the UK, they thought I was talking in a foreign language!
