We’re any T’s built on the Maltby made No4’s?

What about Fazakerley?

There were a few Maltby rifles set up as T's, as Surpmil says. I've never seen a genuine example dated anything other than 1941, but in principle there could be a few 1942 dated examples out there somewhere. It was thought for many years that no Faz rifles were ever converted to T spec but it would seem that a very few were; again, early manufacture rifles. This is because when H&H took over conversion from RSAF Enfield they scoped up all rifles that had been put aside having passed the accuracy criteria for conversion (regardless of where made), but in order to make the conversion process as straightforward as possible, it was soon decided on only BSA made rifles being converted. Hence, the early UK conversions by H&H can in principle be effected on any UK make of rifle. In practice early conversions are usually either BSA or Maltby produced 1941 dated rifles, with a very very occasional Faz rifle. Hope this helps.

Yes, I have one. Sounds like not many maltbys were converted either.

This is very much a 'guesstimate', but based on observation of many hundreds of 4T's & L42's over the years, I reckon (very approximately) 85%ish of all 4T's were built on Shirley rifles, with all of the others - Trials, Long Branch, Savage, Maltby & Faz rifles, making up the remainder.

A well known dealer in the UK just recently sold a Maltby made 4T.

I've seen 2 1943 Maltby's No4 T. Both were blued rifle and went through H&H.
