Mojo Sights?

I cut my shooting teeth on the receiver mounted aperture sights on the M1 Garand.
Fast forward fifty years..
I recently celebrated successful cataract surgery by acquiring a LE Ishapore 2A.
The leaf rear sight is ok but I think I'd prefer to relive my youth with a rear aperture sight. I've been sticker shocked by the receiver mounted apertures I've looked at so far.
I'm considering a Mojo aperture, which mounts at the leaf sight location.
Will I be happy with the Mojo?

The mojo is a poor substitute for a receiver sight IMHO. But your mileage may vary.

Personally I'd opt out for one of the Parker Hale precession sights before using an after market such as the Mojo, just my 0.02 cents-SDH

I just got mine for my mosin in the mail today - I should have a report by saturday (hopefully!)

Hey SailorJosh, hope to hear good things about the Mojo, I was thinking about a set for my 91-30 and Swede Mauser.

I took it out yesterday - it was freezing cold and I was shooting it out back of my fathers friends house at 60ish yards, so I don't have any concrete results, but it worked well. Now I just need to take it out when it's not -30 so I can spend a little more time with it.

Definitely - I was shooting very accurately considering I was so cold and uncomfortable and I didn't really take any time to zero it properly. The only problem I had was with the smallest aperture - the big mosin front post looked very, well, big. Next time I'm going to put the second smallest aperture in, that should help a bit. I could replace the front post as well but I'd rather not go through all that. I am definitely going to pick one up for my no.1 mk III next.

Aren't those sights a wee bit like cheating, hum? I realize the extents we all go through for the ultimate group, but, I just can't bring myself to install A.M sighting systems unless it's a sporter and then for the most part opt for glass or high end target sights. I guess my old age is coming through load and clear-SDH

I get much more enjoyment with the mojo sight and that's all that really matters to me. I'm not a big fan of scopes, but I have real trouble seeing military type sights clearly (I am only 21 but a bit farsighted), so the mojo sights are the perfect middle ground for me. I also plan on hunting with my mosin and/or enfield - so I want to be able to aquire my sight picture as quickly as possible and make a clean shot. But hey, different strokes!
