I see sarcoinc has g43 magazines for sale.
Would it be legal for us canucks to buy a 10 round mag in the US, if the dealer was to take them apart, and ship 2 packages, one with the springs and followers, the second with the magazine body, and then once they arrive you can pin them yourself.
maybe wishful thinking.
CBSA has been know to seize mag bodies and even mags pinned to zero. It'd be a crapshoot.

Think of all the svt40 and g43 mags there are south of the boarder, demand here in Canada is very high.
Im certain I, or someone else, with a contact state side could convince someone to spend an afternoon pinning a few magazines and then sending them up to us.
The problem is, if even pinned magazines are confiscated... then what. :rolleyes:
Maybe we ought to try and convince sarcoinc and numrich to pin mags and send them to us. Group buy anyone?
CBSA is much more apt to seize private shipments regardless of how they're pinned. Ideally a dealer would bring some in. They receive pinned/unpinned mags from the US all the time due to their permits.
98K flat buttplates are common, I have afew. It is the cupped ones that are not common for some reason.
Regarding mag bodies, the easiest thing to do is to send them to a US address close to the bored, and drive over with a rivet gun and cordless drill. Limit all the mags to 5 rounds in a parking lot somewhere and then drive them to the border personally. Make sure you declare them - don't want to break any laws. Also ensure you have a copy of the applicable regulations with you b/c you'll likely have to educate the border guard about how limited mags are permissable. While it doesn't make sense, you'll probably also have to show your PAL.
Shipping an unpinned gutted body is still illegal as the mag doesn't meet the definition of a permanently limited magazine.
