I see you ride. My last two bikes have been Ultra's. Haven't been without a bike since I started riding in Oct 1964.
I really didn't start out collecting bayonets. I started looking for the Pilot's knives we were issued dated to my three years in Viet Nam. I was given a few MC-1 orange handled switchblade knives from some of the pilots we pulled out of the rivers too. Then I found out there were different makers of those and rounded them all up. The "Cole" Military Knife books are great to have. They are to knives and bayonets what "War Baby" is to Carbines.
There is a M-3 blade marked Camillus on an M-4. Pretty hard to find. A Wooden and two Rubber handled and I pulled out a German made and Viet Nam plastic handled (my era). I didn't find the box with my Aluminum handled M-4. If anyone has a Aluminum handled M-4 I am looking for another one.
One of the M-3's is blade marked but not dated. Looking I see the middle M-3 I chose had been redone, (rounded at the guard) bad choice for the picture. I should have paid better attention when I pulled that one out.
Where or when do you stop? That's what my wife wants to know.

I see you have a M4 with a wood handle. I have been told that the history of them is almost non-existant. Other then they may have been rehandled in Okinawa.
I have one with correct scabbard. That makes two of those M4s I know of.

Looking at M. H. Cole book #3 it says:
"The wooden handles were probably put on these M-4 bayonets after the original leather handles had deteriorated. They are made of one piece hardwood with brown plastic spacers placed at each end. The brown colored wood is diamond checkered in a very coarse pattern, and does not appear to be an American wood.This leads us to believe this handle replacement was probably done overseas."
Over the years I have had these are 6 different makers. Case, Pal, Aerial, Imperial, Camillus and K.I. I haven't seen them on A.C.C. or Utica yet. But the Cole books shows them as having had them put on at sometime or another.

Your have an A.C.C. with a wooden handle only leaves Utica as one I haven't had or heard about. Does anyone have a wood handled Utica?
Also marked on the cross piece is U.S.M.4. Blade looks like it has been used but wood handle is in great shape.
Cross hatching on the handle looks like somebody used a spinning saw blade to put them on.. I don't believe they were stamped.

Yep, used to ride a lot, till damn work interfeared with fun.... Was BMW motorcycle dealer for the area. Wife finally graciously inferred that I should get a real job!! Imagine that??
Never bored, I like your presentation of knives. And then some others added. I thought since I just got a new camera, and needed to give it a test spin, I'd get some of my pig stickers out of the closet.
I sure don't claim to have the nice presentation you have done, but maybe it would be interesting, nonetheless.
The last one is a blade marked Boker. It has been reworked, but it is what it is.....
