The Krag sight originally displayed is a Model 1901; the one on your rifle is probably a 1902.
The Warner Objective Sight was patented by Robert Warner and Adolph Niedner January 1914 .
Sight was tested without recomendation of adoption.
Hopefully Loy will give us some infomation on his Bassel And Blenkner sight.

It is such an improvement, I wonder why it was rejected? Too complicated for quick manufacturing?

From about 1908 through the late 1920's there were several rear sights submitted by inventors to be tested and to be rejected for different reasons. Most of the rear sights mentioned in Brophy's book that were submitted for testing seems to me to be as good - if not better than - the 1905 sight.
Please check Brophys book, pages 452 through 488.
