.. I'd like to build a No.4(T) "CLONE" . The "made in India Mounts" from Sarco are currently not available, (and won't be for a couple of months) and don't come with the necessary "pads" , so while I'm waiting, if I can get a set of drawings, I MIGHT be able, to persuade my father-in-law, a retired machinist , to make me a set. So does anyone have a set of drawings, or suggestions where I could get a set ? Help appreciated ! Thanks !! ..... David K. ....:help:

.... Thanks "R.G>" .... I see they've also got the "screws" that would be needed as well. Guess, since funds are limited, I'll have to contact them and see if a trade of some sort is viable option ! If not, back to plan B, and a no drill and tap, after market mount ! (Cheaper, a lot cheaper !) .... Thanks again! ..... David K. .....:dunno:

More milling work than lathe work there.
It might be an idea to have the bracket on hand before the pads are mounted on the rifle. Could be fitting/spacing issues that would be easier to deal with before the pads are mounted.

.... You should check the "Technical Articles" section; pretty well all you'd need, apart from a magnifying glass to "read" the vintage print, is there. It really would be quite a challenge to produce a decent replica mount, complete with all the screws etc. ! When I contacted SARCO about the mounts they bring in, there were no screws included, no pads, and there's shipping etc.etc. on top of the probable, price of between $150 to $200 (US) .... The after market, no drilling and tapping mounts are looking better all the time, at least until I can afford the "proper" replica version ! .... David K. .......:surrender:

...This morning, ( January 31st 2008 ) I was notified by Michael DiMaggio, of Sarco, that they currently have the REPRO scope mounts for the No.4 ( $149 + est $25-$30 shipping ) if anyone is interested. NO PADS ! .... I ended up using a no drill and tap commercial mount, as I was really just more interested in the shooting rather than the correct/repro sniper. .... Anyway, passing this along for interest ! ..... David K. ....
