Now I know why I put a Tasco on my RFI "T". It will also out perform. Gary.
It would have been nice to see the bracket side for any markings...
Evil bay changed the way photos are posted, you can't copy them any more:nono:
but here is the inside of the mount and the scope markings
I anyone NEEDS a No32 and bracket, always remember the wise words of John Sukey
Everything was cheap .........YESTERDAY. Wise words John! Where are you now?
Have to agree with Peter, if it wasn,t for the fact i,ve just bought another Land Rover (Lightweight) i would have had a bid, still tempting....
Lightweights........ my friend in Devon has just spent 3 years restoring one. It is gleaming immaculate gloss deep bronze green. I suggested that if it were still an Army one, it'd be the Brigade Commanders vehicle. What is the MoD registration number of yours?
Not sure as yet, the MoD reg or history, i,ve yet to pick it up (this saturday), built 1974 first registered 1988 may have been released from the MoD a year or so before??
Have had 3 landy,s before, series 111 (109), Land rover 90 and the last was a series 11A, i use them for what they were made for (A work horse) may give this one an easy life would like to get it back to its mill spec.
I love them because they are basic, easy to fix (most of the time) parts are not as cheap as they used to be, but plenty out there and as for the paintwork, a tin of olive drab or nato green and a good brush and some sun, looks like new in an afternoon.
So all of a sudden this scope will show up on an "all matching" rifle...
Here's one that conveniently has NO scope S/N on its "S51" marked buttstock. Quick way to have a "matching" rifle... Oy!

There are plenty of those in this serial number range, presumably using up the old Mk1 and 2 4x screw segment covers.
Hey, y'all? If I'm being stupid or something let me know, will you, please?
I really never saw the INTRODUCTORY pic in the auction of the scope AND BRACKET w/ S/N right there on the side!
Dang...
Looks like he sold it off site - all bids cancelled and item ended.
Too good a deal! Plenty of P/O'd bidders though! That or it gets thrown back out at a much higher price...
You can end an item - you can't in the last 12 hours, or when winning bids are in - but if you cancel all the bids, then you can do so - and not have to pay ebay a cut as well. There are lots of good reasons for not doing so, however, scammers, increased likelihood of fraud and so on are more likely if you sell to someone trying to induce you to away from the normal auction format.
As a seller you can end a auction any time, as a bidder you can cancel a bid up to twelve hours before it ends.
Blimey - see the Mk1 which is finishing today no6498 on £1,420 on ebay - item no 220565136540. (normally I wouldn't post a live auction but let's face it a forum member ain't going to get a bargain on a misdescribed item or similar)
Good thing its not one on the "search" list in the "Rifles Looking for Scopes" sub-forum. Somebody would be squirming right about now!

Ha yes indeed! I see he's got a load of other related stuff if people want it, but presumably you'd have to bung him some more on top of the finishing price.
Went for £1,600 in the end - perhaps he threw in the repro bracket and pads with adjusting tool and cheek piece...
On a different note: do people think this is a genuine one?
Lee enfield scope mount on eBay (end time 18-Mar-10 23:32:31 GMT)
Looks OK from here. Wasn't that rifle for sale recently? S/N H3779?
Danmark! Well, who knows "people" in Danmark if the deal goes south?
At 1,600 it makes my 32 mk11 look very cheap,
and my mk 111 even cheaper.
