Refurbed No1Mk3* - a second one lower down the thread

Hi everyone,

Well it's been a few months since I worked at refurbing a No1Mk3; I have been slowed down by an Enfield P14 and other rifles like that. So I have to pick up the pace again :D

This one is an Enfield-built, 1917-dated No1Mk3*. Got it last year as a barreled action with trigger guard. I've been working on it for the past month.

Most parts are from Springfield Sporters. Too bad they decided not to ship outside the US now... :(

Leaving the edge wear on the metal bits keeps that "experienced" look that's kind of comforting.

A few more pics, this time of a 1941 Lithgow-made SMLE. Same story as the 1917 at the top of this thread, give or take. I like the wood grain on the forend and front handguard. Yes there's still snow on the ground. :D

Hi Lou,

a fine rifle indeed, but i think i`ll have the much nicer background to make pics of the rifles. So pack the rifles and come to the photoshooting at here.
No bad thoughts...

Well there is one thing that is German in the last picture, but it was kind of... busy when I took the picture. You can see there's one of my German Shorthaired Pointers doing its business. Probably not happy that the rifle isn't a Mauser. :D
