Hi All, Anyone else ever had a hard time reassembling a rifle for no apparent cause? If I had hooves for hands I couldn't have done worse..90 minutes, or there abouts overall.
This and my '41 Maltby have the early barrel bands that require a C clamp to assemble, but that wasn't the issue, it was all me.

Two fisted Lone Star beer drinkers always have this problem, try putting at least one Lone Star beer can down when working on a Enfield rifle. :rolleyes:
Yuengling beer on the other hand has no such restrictions. :D
(We are more civilized and only drink from large chilled mugs)

If Brad frequents this locale, than he is obviously of a higher class (of drinker). I would assume that he was more than likely sporting a Shiner Bock...and tripping over the other 5 bottles.
Dead on, finlog! I must also admit to a great fondness for Red Stripe.
I'm going to pick up all three of the Yuenglings when I next run into Houston, Ed. Range report to follow.

It seems in Pennsylania,USA that it is hard to just buy one or two beers at a time. We found that they want you to buy it by the case lots.
What's the "logic" behind that?
(All this was discovered during a road trip to a Forks of the Delaware gunshow in Allentown some time back. We had never heard of Yuengling before and wanted to sample a bit- not get blotto!)
Bradtx, you are not alone! Sometimes things just refuse to cooperate, like trying to type this post- you can't imagine the drammas I'm having with the 'rgj a'erba' AIEEEEE!!!- never mind....
jmoore, Since now-a-days for me a six pack will last over a week, often over two weeks, a case is out of the question. If I break either of my index fingers I'll be computer mute.

It's not so much that I don't have any (I don't), but that federal regulations prohibit consumption less than 8hrs before work- w/12hr days and 7 day work weeks, I just haven't been able to squeeze it in! I mean, who wants to rush the eaxperience?Quote:

Bradtx, with what aspects of re-assembly were you having dramas? Fumble-y fingers or improper assembly order, or what? My usual failure w/ L-E rifles is forgetting the spring and plunger on SMLE fore ends until just before installing the nose cap. (Which, of course, is about the LAST part to go back onto the rifle...)
Well, then, I will tilt one for you Mr. Moore. It can't rain all the time. You are obviously earning a nice vacation...or an early grave. I thought that I worked too much at 60-70 hour work weeks, but I at least take 1 day off per week. Sheesh, J. I hope that you are compensated well for your extensive efforts.Quote:

It's a possibility the BLO had swollen the furniture, I know that may sound odd, but this is one of the turkish import rifles and it was as dry as a bone when I first recieved it. It absorbed quite a bit of BLO initially, going from a rifle that rattled when shook to quite tight. Other than that it has to be a case of HUA.
