Charlie, I'm going to say inland based on size, cannon support on left cannon and buckle. But the bottom of cannon does not look right to me.... someone else has the right answer I am sure.

The size and location say Inland, and it looks a little fuzzy because it's double-struck (die bounce), but I don't see the trunions - which confirms Disney. Seriously, I don't know what it is.

I'm with ChipS, rebounded stamp, Inland CC. I had it on my watch but decided I didn't like the spike marks, especially on the CC. Did any Inlands come from SJ?.....Frank

Charlie, I had to get out my 5.2 Inland. You're right and I stand corrected.
I don't think the seller is trying to fool us, I just think he is miss informed.

Honestly, the stock is so damaged that I don't think it is worth anything anyway.

I checked both WB (pg 315) and Riecsh and it doesn't seem to match anything. I hate to say it, but could the "double bounce" be a newer, recent stamp placed over an old one?

Agreed with Wulf, the stock is of little value.
Also agreed that I don't think the seller is trying to mis-lead anyone.
I've been blowing this picture up and playing with color shades.
I believe this larger stamp was added at some time. My guess...... a poor Inland reproduction stamp. Was thinking at first... could it be a early QHMC Bigwheel? It isn't, but it's possible that the area I've circled could be the remnant of a real Stan Pro CC.
Just guessing on my part. But the size and location would be close.

I can almost see the SP CC in your circle.

Charlie I DO believe that is a Standard Products cartouche.

Look at CC #8, lower left on Harrison's clear overlay template. Assuming the scale is way off, which I have heard it is on this template, the CC #8 Harisson calls "Provisional acceptance mark found on post-WWII replacement stocks produced by Jamestown Lounge" is pretty near a dead ringer. The trunions may be a little more pronounced on the Harrison template but, unless my old eyes are particularly bad tonight, everything else looks pretty close.

That still doesn't account for the highwood, which makes no sense as a post-war replacement. I still don't know what it is.

I don't have a Std. Pro. but Harrison says the SP cannon breech is not rebated. True or false?

My eyes apparently can't see that tiny Harrison CC very well tonight. There is no round 'bomb' above the cannons on the Harrison Jamestown Lounge cartouche so I'm back to Walt Disney.

While the over lay with the acceptence stamps that is in Harrisons book is wrong for all the stamps it has one saving grace and that is almost all of the fake stamps are based on it which makes it easier to spot the fakes. The stocks made by Jamestown lounge were not post war replacements. They are late war time made replacement stocks.
