WRA FRT Sight ?

The frt sight I have slipped on the end of this barrel is a known Winchester.

Question is- Is the sight fixed to this barrel also a WRA?
The best I can tell from the shape of the outer ears, this second one has the same rounded slope. Milling on the outside looks very similiar.
Though it doesn't show a complete finger nail style milling pattern behind the sight blade.
Sight in question is the stepped ledge style also.

Lyman made front sights have a distinct profile. The rest is immaterial.

It's that profile I'm trying to compare on the 2 sights in the first post.
Just trying to verify if I may have another Lyman made sight on my hands.

I've been slammed with PM's and E-mails about Brians statement "The rest is immaterial"
He's been helpful by pointing out the obvious, that the partial finger nail milling marks.. etc have nothing to do with whether or not it's a Lyman/WRA frt sight.
It's the distinct profile found on Lyman made sights that should be used to identify them, not the milling or lack of milling scars.

I think "EVERYONE" should use a little more tact when posting. There are a number of personalities on these forums, personalities that WILL work together. I'm tired of the emails and PMs about all the supposed attitude of one or another of the members. Enough is enough!

I can't speak for any of the other threads.
But as far as this one is concerned.. We're good.
Correct information was passed to me from another member who replied to my OP.
What more could I ask for?
If that isn't working together......... I don't know what is.

Reading comprehension might be an issue. I guess there are some that can’t equate “the rest” as meaning the remaining of the features of the sight.

Can you carefully describe these key features for us, I'm too lazy to do the rest...........

I try to shut up when BQ talks. I too have noticed his posts have gotten shorter over the years. it takes someone who understands carbines to understand many his posts. After I bought my first hundred, I started to understand carbines. It took that long for me to realize the books were not always right and they had a lot of leave outs too, and to read all the old CC NLs.
