Make, Model, Manufacturer, Date of Manufacture? I do know that the barrel was chambered in .303 British.

agree, notice it has a US 1917 magazine box, and id bet spring and follower as well.
Looks like a "DP" stamp on receiver. Drill Purpose.

Did the DP apply to the entire rifle condition? If so, I would think that the receiver is probably safe to use.
If the receiver is stamped DP I wouldn't use it.

Yes DP applies to the whole rifle. An armourer somewhere has decied for whatever reason that it is no longer safe to fire.Quote:
