Help with Identity and value ?

I appreciate any help I can get on trying to figure out what I have here on my Enfield bayonet and rough-out scabbard? The middle bayonet here is marked MA over 1907 and then has 10 43 on it below the above markings. The other side has the broad arrow over XOA. The scabbard is quite unique in that it has a rough suede texture to it ? Can anyone tell me what it is exactly and how much it might be worth from this pic ?
Also shown is what I think is a Model 1899 Cadet Rifle bayonet scabbard which I want to get some idea of what it might be worth?
Also shown is a Italian folding carcano bayonet w/o scabbard and would like a ballpark on value if someone can help with that too ?

Do searches on Ebay it is the best way to get values as you can compare what you have with what was sold, look for Krag scabbard, Australian 1907, Italian m38. the scabbard may be Indian

Anyone else have an idea on the origin of the rough textured enfield scabbard ?

It is most likely Indian or even Afghani, many of my Afghan 07's have brown scabbards

I could be that someone over aggresively cleaned the leather, removing the original smooth finish. Scotch Brite will do that to leather.

I considered that one as well Bill, as the UK removed the pattent leather finsih of the early ones but it looks more made in brown than clenaed, but then anythign is possible

To my knowledge this one is original and has not been cleaned, the leather is just too uniform and the texture is the same overall on it ??
I had thought someone told me it was a rather uncommon variation but I can't remember who said that ??

The brown leather scabbard appears to be an Australian made variety of the P1907 scabbard.
It was officially known as the No.2 Mk.1 and has the double stitched leather (with 2 seams) and the small circular frog stud.
These were made in Australia in the early 1920's and are considered to be quite scarce.
Its perfect match bayonet would be an Australian P1907 made in the 1920's and with the LITHGOW stamp on the ricasso.

Average UK retail sale value of a WW1 1907 bayonet is about £75.00 Not many Lithgow October 1942 made 1907 bayonets in England though! XOA is probably X for flex test, OA for Orenge Arsenal.

Exactly right, good post. All Australian scabbards were brown and the double seamed version is very hard to find. The rough surface is done by sewing the hair (smooth) side inside and leaving the flesh (rough) side out. This was done to make use of damaged leather pieces lying about, a method to get the most use of material in a hide.

I have one of th edouble seamed scabbards reworked for Korea complete with phosphated fittings, must be even more scarce
