New 1944 Lithgow

Im on the verge of getting this Aussie..Ive never owned a correct Lithgow, with coachwood..is this one a good specimen? All matching. "AUSTRALIA" in the wood, no other imports

Looks Kosher to me.

Isnt that the WW2 Lithgow phosphate finish? It looks original..Pin wire used by 1944 too, original?

Fore end is Slazenger, "SLAZ 43", but the rifle is 1944, and it matches

Yours is serial number E95838 1944 Receiver assembled with 1943 woodwork.

Mine is E1325. 1942 Receiver assembled with 1943 woodwork

Perhaps Late '42 vs Early '44.

Yours looks in better condition.
