The above picture was for a magazine article on this rifle. John Beard sort of helped me. However, he didn't like the photograph (of the former owner of the M1903 illustrated) and thought it should be on the other side. I sent the editor several pictures with the items moved around. I had to laugh when she picked the picture to use that John Beard didn't like! Different strokes.... :lol:

(My favorite afghan "story" was about the one guy who sold me a nice early M1903. One of the sales "conditions" was that I post a picture of the rifle on CSP with the afghan in the background! Talk about different strokes!!)
I don't see a M1903 in Promo's pic. I do see part of a M1903A4.
To paraphrase a much better poet than I :

Didn't say that there's a M1903 in the picture (though there is one - you only see one part of it ;) ), but originally also ment it's derivates and successors.
