Er.. like, er... WOW
Man, that is a low-mileage rifle.:thup::thup::thup:
- Is the original cleaning patch still clean?

...I sort of just wet myself. Also, I think I hate you. :super:
That is a wonderful rifle. I have to ask, have you ever shot it? One assumes the bore is absolutely mint.
-
Call me a cynic, but this looks too good to be true.
-
Nah, not too good to be true! I know of a similar Venezuelan Mauser that sold this spring to an old pal. Just about as new as it could be.
-
That Brazillian puts new meaning to the word "mint". I believe the poster also owns an exceptional Venezuelan which he prefers. Post up that one to if you can ! :D
-
Amazing !!!
We don't find those in these conditions here... AND I'M BRAZILLIAN!!!:D:D
NICE Mauser:clap:
-
Gee and I thought my was as good as they got coming out from that humid jungel climate, u're is truely Unissued, looks unheld. Mine is 5-10 % of it, been a while since I've seen it. One of the Worst Mausers I have is from Brazil

I have one of these that I believe is unissued. Yours is fabulous though, I have never seen such a fine example. 1908 Brazilian is by far my favorite for many reasons. Here is a few pics of mine:

Nice Mauser, they are beautiful guns. I have three of them, two in VG to Exc condition and one unfired but don't have the sling, and factory target.
Did you get the matching bayonet, sling, and factory target with it?
-
Thanks to all for the nice comments....
Patrick, it has never been shot , (except on the target below) and the cleaning patch was never removed from the rod and never used.
amsdorf, in 6 months, I'll post another one, better than this one?
Mentis, nice one you got there.
Kurgan, you are right, my venezuelean made by Herstal has nicer wood and is shorter. I will try to take a few nice pictures.

Beautiful rifle, you are fortunate to have such a unique find.

Lovely rifle, and definitely not too good to be true. Brazilian 1908's seem to come in two groups--virtually unissued, (sometimes with original target, bayonet, etc, and sometimes those have gotten lost), and fairly used, beat up but still serviceable. The Brazilian M1935's seem to be found more often in the very good to pristine category. Argentine M1909's are more commonly used a fair amount.
